  • In 1960 Nigeria’s population was estimated to be 45.2 million people.

  • In 2015, the estimated number of people in Nigeria had grown to 182.2 million, a 300% increase in 56 years.

  • Nigeria is estimated to be the third most populous country in the world by 2050 with a population of 399 million people.
